SORRY!!!

Sorry for the delay, I have been really busy doing the hustlegame.

I quit the resort job. It was getting to be waaay too much drama and way too much tension and my mental health took a dip in the deep end again…I ended up dissociating badly one day and I cut myself again.
Not proud of it.

So I left, and I live in Bais with Doming.
It’s a really nice, small neighborhood, about 10 minutes from the town centre.
I have an online freelancing job as a social media manager, building websites, doing graphic design and flyers/brochures/promo materials/logos, etc for businesses and also doing a bit of photography, even though I don’t have good equipment anymore.

Its a lot less money…about five bucks a day, but it’s enough for now.
I’m worried about my visa renewal, but…..that’s not something I have control over.

I rescued a stray cat named Scallywag, and she’s doing really good. A bit on the bitey side however.
I also tried to rescue a two week old kitten named Scooter….his mother had a litter in my yard and moved every one except him. I tried to feed him milk powder formula, but one day he went from perfectly fine to skeleton and he died in my hands.
I gave him a viking funeral so the ants wouldn’t eat him.
It was really traumatic, but I did my best.

About a month ago I went up the mountain to visit my friends, two of the construction worker guys at the resort live up there….and I got these wicked awesome photos!
Enjoy!

I will try my hardest to update more often!!!

Those Who Deny Reason Cannot Be Conquered By It

Well, here we go, almost time to go ‘On The Road Again…’ as the song goes!

Unfortunately, many of the workers here are moving on, since they are being treated in ways that they think is unfair.
I know, two sides (sometimes five!) to every story, but for the majority of the speaking, it is a negative picture being painted.
Without revealing too much, the owners are showing obvious, blatant, and regular signs of worker abuse, and after years of putting up with it, most of the workers are finished just laying down and taking it.

Thusly, I will not stick around for much longer.
I appreciate the opportunity to learn so much in such a short amount of time, and I appreciate what little has been given to me.
But I did not come to the Philippines to be criticized, ridiculed, and made to feel useless and incompetent.
I’m pretty sure I said the exact same things when I was leaving my ex, did I not? lol

Happily, I have been saving money for the Bistro….so I have a little bit of money to draw upon if need be for visas, until I can find suitable freelance work, or until I can get the food place up and running……I won’t give up on that idea, it’s been a dream of mine for many years to start my own Food Spot, and with over 11 years experience working in Kitchens, I know I can do it.

I think, in the last ten minutes, I have also scored a freelancing gig putting together and maintaining a website for a new ‘Zine here in the Philippines…….
Wut Wuuuut.
But in order to work it, I will need a bloody internet frigging connection if I leave to go live in Bais.
I will either have to work at an internet cafe or stay here for a bit longer….which even the idea of sickens me……
The last few weeks have been rough and I’ve been thinking of going back to self harm as a goddamn coping mechanism.
EWWWWW, gross Idea, Jessica!

Anywhoo, just wanted to update y’all 12 people who read this 😉
By the way, thanks for continuing to read this.

Also by the way….anyone else notice prices went up a bit on stuff at your local sari-saris?
Beer went up five pesos, and pancit noodles went up three pesos!
BOOOOO!!!!

A Good PR Story is Infinitely More Effective Than a Front Page Ad

Slowly but surely saving up bit by bit for the bistro…..I really don’t have much right now but like I said previous…it’s better than nuthin!

Also, I forgot to say that the other picture I included of the bamboo thing with a face is our piggy bank lol

Doming accidentally called it our ‘pork bank’ because he couldn’t remember ‘piggy bank’ so now we joke all the time that it’s our pork barrel fund.

Yesterday was fiesta for macaboo…er…makabu or however it’s spelled…..so we went to a million people’s houses and ate a trillion lechons and meatballs and ribs and drank five zillion gallons of coke and sprite….I was dying by the end of the day lol
Unfortunately no pictures, booo….god damn the ex for stealing my camera.
Literally EVERYONE was staring at me everywhere I went, it was sooo awkward, and as an anxiety-ridden basketcase, it makes socializing here sooo hard, because obviously, there ain’t no hiding my pasty pale white skin….and everyone always looks and wants to talk and so I’m learning my best to not have panic attacks and stuff when strangers talk to me and stare….

aaanywhoozy, I figured I would post here because there’s quite a few of you that read my bloggity….if you could, can you please vote for me to win a full PR campaign for the bistro?
And also maybe share with your friends?

A lot of people have been having issues finding where to vote, so here’s a picture:

lala
Andhere is the links for everything you need to know about the bistro!

Vote Here for the PR Campaign Contest
Here is the Facebook Page
Here is my Indiegogo Campaign for Donating

YAY! Thanks to everyone who reads my blog, I really appreciate the eyes and I hope someday it’s much more exciting of a read 😉

Mankind Was My Business!

I’m just going to leave this right here!

Indiegogo for the Bistro

Been saving as much as I can each week, and so far for the business, I have 3,800 Php saved!
That’s really not a whole lot, but it’s way better than nothing!
We also checked into the paperwork….LOTS of papers to get and clearances to get and permits and blah blah…..then my working visa, then finding a place to rent…..(We’ve got our eyes on four different spots already though…..)

I took a few shots of the barbecue down the street that we go to for supper….there’s an adorable white dog that always sits patiently for me to share with him:

10697348_551440248335867_2599861563197937821_o 10636387_551440581669167_3580496149721833620_o1912093_551440531669172_5948409820594269669_o  10708752_551440475002511_3975254719023841157_o

If he was cleaned up, he’d be a GREAT dog….he’s smart as a whip.
Speaking of adorable dogs……there was a baby pup we found in behind one of the houses here at the resort.
Like a stupid frigging moron, I hung out with it all day, gave it food, and it stuck to me like velcro, nuzzled into my neck and fell asleep for the whole day on my chest….I gave it a bath and everything…..

But then the boss got back and even after saying I’d be responsible entirely for its care, nope, get rid of it.
Unfortunately, it’s because there’s already two dogs here, and they have been TERRIBLY trained….they still jump and nip at people and don’t listen to anything at all.

I know how to train a dog properly, especially a pup…so that would have been no issue.
But I ain’t the boss.

So I had to send the dog away, it broke my goddamn heart and I’m still upset about it, but what can I do?

I just have to wait to get my own place…then I can rescue a poor puppo and work on spaying and neutering other strays.

Not much new going on….I never really get out anywhere lol
Oh well!
Check out my indie gogo campaign and maybe think of helping out?

The Best Way to Predict Your Future is To Create It

Oh yeah, forgot to add this yesterday…..if you can share the page, that would be FABULOUS of you…..if you can help even more with a donation, I’d be forever grateful, and there’s even rewards!

https://www.facebook.com/gruntshufflesigh

http://www.gofundme.com/ecrbs0

I also have a draft business plan written, as well as a sample menu & business card.
Here’s a preview:

menufrontsamplemenuGSS

An excerpt from the business plan:

My business idea for Bistro / Bakery ‘Grunt, Shuffle & Sigh’ is simply good food, at affordable prices, in an atmosphere that feels like home & makes you want to come back again and again.

I’ve been inspired by cooking my whole life…from watching & helping my Grandmother bake and cook for our family, to my very first job with a German chef, to my long career in kitchens, working with some of the best names in Canada, and being taught new ways to experience food, flavor, and cooking as an art form rather than just another job.
I am passionate, dedicated to my work, creative and able to take on a wide array of challenges with ease.

In a restaurant or food establishment, these are important factors, as you never know what’s going to happen…
One day can be perfectly normal, then the next day, your supplier is late, you have a rush of customers you’re unprepared for, the sound system isn’t working and someone doesn’t show up for work! For me, that kind of challenge is fun, and I live to solve difficult problems! I have also been working in the restaurant industry for more than 11 years, so I have seen my fair share, and have learned how to deal with most major problems.

The concept for our restaurant came after trying to find a simple, comfortable space to eat, while also retaining a feeling of ‘eating local’…a lot of new restaurants around Negros Oriental are very modern, and try to cater to foreign guests. This isn’t a problem, but we would like to have a place that serves high-quality Filipino food that is affordable to local citizens as well as foreigners, and an atmosphere that is comfortable for everyone.

Also, we have seen our menu items in other restaurants before, but with my 11+ years of experience in kitchens, I can confidently say we will offer a sensory experience like no other in all of Negros.

We are simple people, so our ambitions for the business remain simple as well.
Eventually, becoming involved in charity work will be a consideration, as it is highly important to give back to our community. If we do decide to expand, our choice locations are in Cebu, near Lapu-Lapu, as well as Bais, and Zamboanguita. This is due to family ties in each of these places, as well as an eye for future numbers as far as customer potential is concerned.

Please, please, please, please share!
I would love to finally be in charge of my own business, and it would be a breath of relief to be anchored to something….after 28 years of being a drifting pile of skin and bones, it’d be nice to finally own a teensy island in this raging sea of life.

To Become Presence, Means Accepting the Risk of Absence

Sorry folks, for the absence, been busy and flooded with more than enough stuff…..couldn’t find the time to write, though I know I should.

The resort stuff is going well, though there have been a few bumps and now, of course it’s a bit rickety….when is my life not bumpy? But God knows I love a wild ride in this life, and that smooth sailing never a true sailor made.
Basically just stupid issues, the Bossman & Bosslady are quite fond of micromanaging the resort…….that’s perfectly fine…it’s their business, do what you want.

But if you bring me on to the team to do all the office stuff and bring your customer counts up and make the resort the success I know it can be…..let me do my job, and trust that I know what I’m doing, please!!!
Signing off on every single decision is frustrating, and slows everything down to a crawl.
Although, again, I have to say I understand that it’s the Philippines and nothing gets done until its basically too late…….but if that’s the case, don’t ream me out for something I tried to get done last week.

Ugh. anyway, enough bitching for now haha
Doming took me to Bais for a tiny taste of fiesta on the 9th! Met a trillion new people (it’s hard to believe everyone is truly related to each other!!) drank some Red Horse, and chatted to a few of the folks, including a 74 year old guy who was making the LEchon spits….he was talking about everything from being a freediving scuba guy (showed me his giant harpoon gun ahaha) to his buddies, who went to the mideast for work and got killed in the shelling (lord knows when) to jim beam, paul malls and marlboro, and the good ol days when you could buy three beers for a peso.

He was absolutely fantastic to speak to, and he had this strange old-world british-ish accent that you see from old movies where the bearded professor is sipping a brandy and smoking his pipe, ranting about philosophy and his war days.

Then, after everything settled, me, Doming and his cousin all killed a pig….that was pretty insane, but Doming cut quick and accurately and there wasn’t much suffering at all.
Then we shaved it, gutted it, and the next day we ate it! We took some back home and I had ribs and lumpia for lunch….yuuhhmmm…..so much better than just having noodles for lunch.

Don’t know if I mentioned, it’s been a while, but my meals are no longer included because someone complained about it.
Now that I don’t have access to the kitchen, or a fridge, I’m spending about p2000 per month on food for myself.
THAT’S INSANITY…..since before, in Valencia, I was spending about p2000 per MONTH for three people’s worth of food.

But oh well.
I’m looking into opening a bistro/bakery here…..it’ll be expensive for the initial costs….but I’m asking for donations from my mom to help me instead of a Christmas & Birthday present….won’t be much, but it’ll be enough to put away until I do have enough.

I have the sample menu and a sample business card printed, and I’m writing the business plan today!
So that’s what’s been going on.
I didn’t have a camera in Bais, so no pictures of that, but here are some recent shots of the resort and stuff:

The Wise Warrior Avoids The Battle

I know not many of my readers are business types, but I feel like having a business-based rant today.

I’m in charge of marketing, SEO, social media management, online presence, etc for the Resort….and I’ve noticed a few things in these fields.

From a business owner / CEO perspective, they all seem to think that the ‘Millenial’ way of doing business is unsustainable, childish, unrealistic, lax, unproductive, foolish, and risky.

They don’t see the point, nor even the benefits of actually communicating one-on-one with their potential ‘consumers’ on social media.

When they DO try to ‘do the twitter’ or join ‘the facebook’, they make such shitty, stupid rookie mistakes that everyone on the internet laughs at them, they get embarrassed, and then they usually say or do something that ends up with their company getting a huge pariah scar.
Then they blame everyone but themselves for the fact that they’re old, outdated, irrelevant, not funny or witty, and dying off.

I’ve read countless articles in the last few weeks that say Gen Y is lazy, unfocused, lacking valuable skills, and that we don’t know how to hunker down and do actual work.
The older folks berate us for listening to music while we work, or using unconventional office stuff like exercise balls instead of swivel chairs.
They say memes are passing fads.
That our generation is doomed to failure and destitution because we refuse to stay at a shitty job if we hate it.
That we’re going to be in for a huge eye-opening punch in the face when we join the ‘real world’.

Well, Old folks, let me tell you a huge secret:
We’re listening to everything you’re saying about us.
And, as the adage goes….better be nice, because we’ve got control over what rest home you end up in.

What I mean is, we know how you’ve done business for the last god-knows-how-many years, pretty successfully, and you’ve made a comfortable living doing it.
We know you’ve got the keys to success in business, and we know that you’re pretty much grooming us to take over and be just like you.
We know you want to continue the ‘For-Profit’ shit.

But you know what? We don’t.

We’re used to being REALLY fucking uncomfortable.
We’re used to being in highly uncertain situations with no way out but to just start digging.
We’re creative, and we love to utilize new solutions, even if they’re made of bubblegum and toothpicks…..ESPECIALLY if they’re made of bubblegum and toothpicks, actually…and glitter.
We love new stuff,  but even more than that, we love new stuff that was made by our friends.
We love making friends, we love hanging out with those friends, we love helping our friends, and we think everyone is a potential friend.
We’re out to be comfortable and afford to eat and sleep in a safe, warm place.
We’re not out to be millionaires, because we realize we can’t make a decent meal out of paper and metal…..what we do realize however, is that if we learn to fish & forage…we can make a meal for a whole community.

Thus, our generation is a skills-based economic model, with a giant focus on collaborative community participation.
We don’t want your damn paper and metal money anymore.
We realize you are sick, and you need to be cured.
If you refuse treatment, we will cut you off and out of our society.
If you try to harm us, we will not retaliate in conventional ways.
We are better than hair-pulling and rock throwing.
We’ll shine a bright light on you and your behavior and we will refuse to speak to you further.
We will shame you into self-punishment.

Sorry, but we rule the playgrounds now.
We are the fastest growing population on earth, and we’re all pretty fucking independent, intelligent, and we have a thirst for knowledge like the desert thirsts for rain.
We want our businesses to grow, prosper, but also remember their communities and customers.
We don’t want your leash-like ties and your uncomfortable, media-okayed uniform of suits, briefcases, and shiny black shoes….we’re much more comfortable in clothing that allows our bodies the space and freedom to breathe.

(Not saying we don’t like to dress up, because we do, but we also realize it’s just a fun costume, it shouldn’t be your go-to definition for how you conduct yourself socially.)

We want the freedom to work, but also the freedom to have some fun….because we all realize none of us gets out of here alive.
Being alive should be fun!
Businesses and companies should serve a larger purpose beyond trying to make a cult following in order to make a few more bucks to hoard away in some far-off bank account.

If you, as a business owner do not give a shit about us, we will not give a shit about you.
And you want us to give a shit about you, because you need our money.
We’d rather give our money to our friends and family, because we know them.
We have intimate connections with them. We smile with them. Laugh with them. Cry with them. Our lives are intertwined.

That’s what you miss out on when you reject us.
In rejecting us, our business, our employment, and our generation….you are rejecting your community, your potential family, and your potential friends.

Remember when your parents told you:
‘I am your parent, I am not your best buddy!’

They fucked up….they should have been our best buddy, because our buddies know every little thing about us.

If you want to stick to the authoritarian, autocratic, boring, old-world, highbrow way of thinking and doing, by all means go ahead, but don’t expect us to live under your roof anymore….we’d rather be homeless and living on the street than put up with your pretentious shit.

White Civilized Man – The Most Ferocious Animal on The Face of The Earth

Today I’m going to bitch about foreigners.
As some of you know, I am really not a fan of foreign people here in the Philippines.
The ones that visit are normally sex tourists…. I’ll tell you a secret…on my blog insights page, many of the key search words people use to find my blog are geared towards sex tourism.

It’s disgusting.

The other ones, the ones that live here, take a Filipina as a wife, and think they’re all high and mighty because they’re accepting of the Filipino culture…..those people…….are total….. freaking……. bullshit.

They’re the same ones who say

‘Sure, I love my Filipina Wife….but she’s as dumb as a bag of bricks’
‘I love the Filipino culture, but boy are they sure lazy! Haw-haw-haw..’
‘I love the Philippines, but gee I wish they knew how to cook real food…’
‘Shopping is so cheap here, but oh my god, the lines are slow/the customer service is shitty/they rip you off for stuff…’
‘I love living here in this nice, convenient beautiful part of town, but I’m going to poison the neighbor’s dog/shoot their roosters’
‘It’s so great to drive with no license or registration, but gosh I hate the traffic’
‘Wow I had such a large argument with a local while buying my illegal DvDs…Filipinos should be ashamed of their behavior’

And on.
And on.
And on.

I could quote foreign stupidity for days, yet they say the Philippines is the stupidest group of people they’ve ever dealt with.

Dear White Ugly Fat Foreign Dudes: How about you STFU, reverse your shitty attitude, re-join reality, and realize YOU’RE the problem.

This country is full of people that know at LEAST two languages, Who work for shitty pay to serve your ass, Who have ONE day off a week if they’re lucky, and who have dealt with foreigners coming to their country for CENTURIES….don’t think every little thing is going to change simply because you want it to be more comfortable & familiar….

God Knows the west has already polluted the Philippine culture enough.

The women have lost their sense of Babaylan, and pride in their natural looks, and have become obsessed with being white, using harmful creams, soaps and lotions to bleach their skin.

The entire nation has a problem with voicing their depression, and instead choose to smile through the worst days rather than do the work to properly heal their minds and hearts.

They have experienced a loss of cultural identity & are approaching Historical Extinction…oral tradition and knowledge of pre-colonial history is in danger of being lost in favor of MTV, telenovellas, Pacquiao and Bruno Fucking Mars.
((No offense Mr. M, but srsly. Do something productive.))

I don’t believe ALL white people are the problem, just as I don’t believe ALL Filipinos are nice, of course…
But the great majority needs to shape up or ship out.

Also, Mr. Dumbass White Guy who just complained for two hours about how stupid Filipinos are, over beers in a bar with your new foreign best buddy you just met……do you really think you’re going to receive impeccable, perfect, or hell, even polite service from your waiter or waitress after that?

Every time you vocalize the fact that someone is lazy or stupid or annoying or unskilled or whaaatever, keep in mind you might just be getting what you expect because you’re an asshole, and not because what you’re saying is true.

Contrary to how you act, Filipinos actually have EARS and can not only hear your stupid blabbering, but they also understand it.
They also talk about you to others.
In a language you don’t understand because you don’t take the time to learn.
Because as much as you love the country….if you don’t love the culture, you’re just another invader on their turf….sitting pretty on their land, taking advantage of their hospitality, and doing nothing productive.

‘Oh but I sent so-and-so to school and paid this guys medical bills and bought groceries for that girl I had sex with yesterday!’

Yeah, thanks for the free cash, Joe!
Just because we take your money and let you pay for things doesn’t mean we like you or we think you’re helping….you’re just being a means to an end.

Harsh, rude, cruel……But oh-so-true.
If you really want to make a difference…set up a school or library and teach people….feed people by opening up a free farm where people can learn to garden….spay and neuter all the stray animals you see walking around everywhere….go out and pick up garbage from the land…..buying shit from stores and paying people’s bills is well and good, but you’re just perpetuating a reliance on foreign aid that has existed for centuries….you’re contributing to a damaging cycle of violence and oppression.

Anyways. I’m done for now.

They Do Not Love One Another – Because They Do Not Love Themselves.

So!
I have a few bones to pick about the Philippine people today.
Please bear with me…while this sounds like a scathing scolding from a saucy white shithead, I assure my gentle Filipino readers that I have your best interests and future cultural evolution at heart.

Also, another warning….in my previous blog posts, I have refrained from utilizing my ‘helping verbs’ (aka, my sailor-mouth)…today, this stops.

My writing for White Chocolate Hills Resort’s blog is perfectly professional and cuss-free.
When I write in my own blog, I don’t want to feel like a secretary writing a press release.
This is personal shit, I will utilize my personal voice from here on.

Those that are offended by the use of ‘bad’ words can please visit my more professional side, right here.

Back to the matter in mind.

In the last few months, I have had the pleasure of meeting many Filipinos, from every class distinction except ‘Elite, super-rich’ folks….though I know I will eventually get to meet them as well, since I’ve already been at one-remove from their world.

The one common thread I’ve felt is the Spirit and natural culture of the Philippine people….genuinely kind, helpful, good-humored, loyal and playful…with a mind-blowing, unshakeable optimism and determination to smile even if your whole world is burning to the ground.

While they’re great traits to have….in these modern times, it’s starting to drive the whole country onto hell’s highway.
Let me elaborate.

I was reading an article that said that Filipinos have onion-thin skin, and for no good reason…that there was nothing to be proud of in Filipino culture, and in fact, that the Philippines has no actual culture of their own in the first place.
I read a comment on the article…someone mentioned that they wanted to take pride in their heritage…but didn’t know what their heritage or culture consisted of.

I read countless articles that say the Philippines has ‘Nationalism by proxy’…being proud to be Filipino when watching Pacquiao or beauty queens and entertainers take the world stage.

I hear countless Filipinos who say America is their greatest ally and coolest friend, and that they want to move overseas to Canada to get a good job, and that they wish that their skin could be whiter, and that they love God and the church.

I see Filipinos get insulted and yelled at and talked about in front of their faces by arrogant, ignorant foreign visitors, and never sticking up for themselves.

I see young women with old men constantly.

I see people here who clean the shit out of their employees buildings/restrooms/kitchens/houses…..yet throw their leftover food on their own kitchen’s floors and never clean their own bathrooms.

I see Filipinos who are obsessed with taking showers and dousing themselves in smelly perfumes and hair products…yet don’t sweep their floors or pick up their trash from the side of the road.

I see everyone talking about being healthy and eating and having nutritious food and cooking well…..yet bleached, white rice is eaten for every single meal, and eating raw vegetables and plants is looked upon as crazy-talk from a wackadoo.

Now excuse me for being an idealistic, insane white foreign bitch, but The Philippine people need to stop sucking the tits of the West, and discover their roots again.

Cut the colonial shit, people….it’s fucked up.

I recently researched ancient Philippine traditional tattoo techniques….orange or calamansi thorn tattooing….and I gave myself a small tattoo on my wrist.

Five or six of the people I showed said that it was ugly, and that women who have tattoos take drugs.
When I told them that they were full of shit, and that before the Spanish and Church people brainwashed them, every Philippine warrior worth anything had tattoos….I was straight-up ignored or told I was wrong.

Somehow in another conversation, the subject of bras came up.
I mentioned that pre-colonial Filipinas didn’t wear bras or shirts, and Lord how The People Doth Looked At Me With Incredulous Eyeballs. I was like…’Well, what?! It’s true, and these days, the men STILL don’t wear shirts…why the hell do women have to wear them now?’
Because some white fucker on a boat got here and felt ashamed that he couldn’t control his fucking penis?

Speaking of penises and boobs, The Philippines also needs to be completely re-taught about sex and sexuality.
Again, Pre-colonial times, the Filipino people were highly sexually progressive, taught their children about sex, and naturally maintained monogamous relationships…with a few exceptions in the Muslim territories, where polygamy was considered okay.

Nowadays, talking about sex is so taboo its literally retarded….condoms are seen as gross and unnecessary….’pulling out’ is seen as an effective birth control method….gay people are ok, but only if you’re flaunting it or obvious about it….men cheating on women is seen as ‘concubinage’ but women cheating on men can land you in fucking jail for two years….the woman’s place is still in the bed and in the kitchen….if a woman is single, it’s seen as a character flaw….if a man is single, he’s a stud.
(That part isn’t so different than the West, I admit)
If a woman is sexually active, or wants anything more than a vanilla sex life, they’re seen as flawed….yet women are encouraged to dance, dress and act sexy, provocative, and to be frank…slutty.

Again…..we really need to stop emulating the West.
It’s destroying the country…it’s harming the people, it’s decimating the culture, and your previous knowledge and way of living is about to go extinct.

I personally suggest a re-naming of our entire country….The Philippines was named for one of our Spanish Colonizers….let’s begin the tidal wave of change and progression by establishing our own, unique culturally-relevant name.

Let me refresh your mind a little bit.

HOW INSULTING IS THIS?!?!
Yet you LOVE foreigners!
WTF, guys?

Be proud of the fact that pre-colonialism, you have an amazing culture rich in progress and steeped in mystery.

Pre-colonial Philippine people knew everything there was to know about agriculture, herbal medicine, irrigation, and cloth-making.
They had extensive, and impressive knowledge of ducks and animal husbandry.

Your pre-colonial art of war is fascinating…and deadly effective.
Your warrior spirit is impeccable, and unshakeable.
DO NOT FORGET your warriors.

Your ability to learn languages and communicate with other cultures is outstanding.
Pre-Colonial times shows that you knew about Sanskrit, Malay, Javanese, and many others.

Your natural abilities to navigate direction could rival anyone in the world, and your people were among the very first to travel on the ocean to trade with other people.

There are many, many reasons to be proud of being a Filipino.
Go back to the roots….if you forget your roots…..your branches will rot.

I think that’s all for now, folks…this is getting long-winded, and I’m getting pissed off.
